Students build knowledge about the butterfly life cycle by observing chrysalises and butterflies in  Dancing Wings Butterfly GardenStudents use informational text and science talk (a discussion protocol designed to get students speaking scientifically) and work together to demonstrate what they’ve learned by acting out the stages of the butterfly life cycle. 

Recommended for Grades 1 through 3

An adult chaperon is required to accompany each homeschooled student on museum visits. Adult chaperons must be at least 18 years of age.
